CLEAN YOUR BRACKETS AND RETAINERS PROPERLY WITH THE FOLLOWING TIPS

It takes some extra effort to properly clean your brackets and retainers, but it is worth it.

Tips to properly clean brackets


1. Brush your teeth with a fluoride toothpaste.

2. Floss.

3. Use an interproximal toothbrush.

4. Divide the mouth into 4 sections, making sure they are all very clean.

5. Use mouthwash after each brushing.

Tips to properly clean retainers

1. Rinse retainers with water.

2. Pass a soft bristle brush with toothpaste over the retainers.

3. Place them in a solution of water and baking soda.


– Have a correct dental cleaning technique

First, remove food debris from your mouth by rinsing it with water. Then, angle the toothbrush so that the bristles can go under the wire.


To finish brushing, use an interdental brush to clean those spaces where it is difficult to reach with the toothbrush more efficiently.


– Take your time to clean your teeth correctly:

The amount of time and the number of times you clean your teeth during the day can make a difference when it comes to having a healthy mouth during braces treatment.


- Floss your teeth

It is recommended that you use it at least once a day.
